Croatia: Marko Bošnjak wins DORA 2025 and is off to Basel

Marko Bošnjak won the Croatian national selection of Dora 2025 and will be flying the flag in Basel at Eurovision 2025.
Marko secured his spot in the class of 2025 by winning the natioal final with the song "Poison Cake", written by Bas Wissink, Ben Pyne, Emma Gale, Filip Majdak and Marko Bošnjak.
Croatia opted for a national selection for Eurovision 2025 and determined their Eurovision 2025 hopeful through the tradional DORA format. The show consisted of two semifinals and a Grand final that were set in Opatija for 27, 28 February and 02 March .
12 songs competed in each semi-final, the top 8 of which entries from each semi-final advanced to the Grand Final according to the public voting verdict, forming a final line-up of 16 competing acts. The final outcome was determined by a deliberation of jury and public voting.

The Results
Marko won the jury voting receiving 83 points and withh the addtional 47 points in the public vote topped the overall scoreboard with 130 points. Second behind came the public voting's favourite Ogenj singing "Daj, daj" but the 42 points from the jury weren't enough (120 points in total) to bring victory. For the record third came Magazin with a total of 111 points.
A few words for Marko Bošnjak
Marko was born 11 January 2004 and is a Bosnian pop singer. He rose to fame as the winner of the second season of the Serbian talent show Pinkove Zvezdice.
Starting on 4 September 2015, Bošnjak appeared as a contestant on the second season of the Serbian talent show Pinkove Zvezdice (Pink's Little Stars). In the first show all judges chairs turned for him passing hom to the next round. After going throuhg the next rounds in durign the semi final During the next episode, on 8 April 2016, Bošnjak performed Adele's "Don't You Remember". In the final, Bošnjak re-sang "Što te nema" and won the competition.
Bošnjak was announced as one of the fourteen participants in Dora 2022, with the song "Moli za nas" (Pray For Us). which came 2nd receiving179 points. "Moli za nas" was officially released on 10 February 2022 as Bošnjak's debut single. A year later, in early 2023, Bošnjak released his third single "Spokojan" (Calm). On 14 April 2023, Bošnjak released his fourth stand-alone single "Nema" (There Is No).
Croatia in Eurovision
(HRT) had participated in the Eurovision Song Contest representing Croatia 29 times since its first entry in 1993. Its best result in the contest was second, achieved in 2024 with the song "Rim Tim Tagi Dim" performed by Baby Lasagna. This was also its first top-five finish since "Marija Magdalena" by Doris Dragović in 1999. Following the introduction of semi-finals in 2004, Croatia had thus far featured in nine finals.
