The Netherlands: The four Junior Songfestival 2021 competing acts unveiled
Friday, 11 June 2021

  • AVROTROS, unveiled the four acts that will be competing in this year's Junior Songfestival that will determine the next Dutch Junior Eurovision act for Paris.

Following the auditions rounds which determined  the 10 finalists of this year's Junior Eurovision national selection, the phase in which  the 10 finalists were organised in four acts took place.

In a rather unique way,  last year's winner and Junior Eurovision hopefuls, the girl group Unity,  informed the 10 finalists in which act they were divided in. Specifically, each of the finalist had to eat a cupcake that had a particular colour enclosed in it.  According to that color the act had to enter an  elevator and push the button that had the same colour with the one found in the cupcake. The elevator stopped on 1 of the 4 floors which revealed if they are going solo or joining a group in the national final.

Thus, the four acts that will compete in this year's Dutch JESC national final include two groups and two solo acts. The four acts are:

    • Mirre, Angelina, Ceder, Soline, Faye
    • Priscilla
    • Loïs, Jade, Lyova
    • Ayana

The competing acts will work next on their entries which will go public the following weeks. The names of the two groups will be determined through the public in social media.

The winning act of the final will earn the right to represent Holland in the next Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Paris, on December 19,2021 in La Seine Musicale.
