Junior Eurovision 2021: Olivier Minne, Élodie Gossuin and Carla confirmed as this year's hosts

  • Olivier Minne, Élodie Gossuin and Carla will have the honor to present us the 19th edition of Junior Eurovision at the concert hall La Seine Musicale in Paris on December 19,2021. 

    A bombastic trio will grace the stage in La Seine Musicale next month to host Junior Eurovision 2021 in Paris. Olivier Minne, Élodie Gossuin and Carla have been assigned with this year's presentation of Junior Eurovision. 

    All three hosts, Olivier, Elodie and Carla have a a remarkable list of activities to be proud of but all three of them have the common fact that they are no strangers to the Eurovision community as they have got related to Eurovision through their careers.

    Olivier Minne

    Olivier Minne is an award-winning French-Belgian actor and TV presenter, know from the presentation of Fort Boyard. She is known in the Eurovision community as t the French commentator from 1995 until 1997. She always commented on EBU's TV programme "Jeux sans frontières".

     

    Élodie Gossuin

    Elodie

    Élodie Gossuin is a popular persona and politician in the country with a wide field of activities throughtout the years. Her name came to fame  after winning Miss France 2001. She also achieved a top 10 placing at  Miss Universe 2001 and won Miss Europe 2001. In the following years,  she became radio and TV host and columnist. Elodie too has a strong relation with Eurovision as she served as the  French spokesperson for Eurovision from 2016 to 2018, and was on the panel that contributed in Barbara Pravi's selection for Rotterdam. 

     

    Carla

    Carla is ready to shine once again on the Junior Eurovision stage this time as a host, but even more beautiful!  Carla Lazzari  was noticed in season 5 of " The Voice Kids " where she reached the final.  In 2019 she was selected by France 2 to defend the French colors at Junior Eurovision 2019 in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland , performing her entry Bim Bam Toi. Her entry finished 5th in the competition but has met massive success itself, becoming the  most watched JESC song of all time on YouTube, reaching over 52 million views up to date. 

    Not long after her song went viral on on the social networking site TikTok after  French fitness blogger Juju Fitcats featured it in a TikTok post and soon topped the top 50 Spotify Viral Chart in France. In addition to all this Carla received a nomination for " The song of the year 2020 On TF1  marking another achievement for the young promising French act. 

     

    This year's edition of the show will be presented in English and French. This hasn't hapened since 2005! Olivier, who lives several months of the year in Los Angeles, will present in English while Élodie will present in French. Carla will switch between both languages. In addition Stéphane Bern and Laurence Boccolini will be the French commentators on the contest.

    The 19th edition of Junior Eurovision is set for December 19, at 16:00 CET and will see a total of 19 countries competing on stage at La Seine Musicale.
